Pastoral Letter – COVID Update – 3/17/2020
From the Rector
Dear St. Anne’s Family – In my sermon on Sunday I spoke of the Church being not place, but people- people seeking Spirit and Truth together. We will never cease to be a church seeking Spirit and Truth but for the immediate future we will be a people without a place. With growing efforts to control COVID-19 we are being told we must suspend public worship. We will continue to live stream our Sunday service and we will continue to seek ways to build and support community online. The Church is being called to change- to be present in a way we have failed to be in the past. Change is never easy and the Church has always shied away (ALWAYS- its tradition!) we will have hiccups along the way but it is to this time that we are called and I am so very, very thankful to be journeying it with you. We are a community without place which means we are a community without restraints- love without borders or limits.
All shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be well. – Julian of Norwich
Love and Peace,
Meg
