PARISH LIFE

Church Picture – It is time for a new church picture. This Sunday after services we will take a group pictures. Wear red for Pentecost and join us for our annual church pic.

Altar Guild & Backsnack – Margee Franklin and Glenda Danella are stepping down from their ministry leadership. Thank you to Margee and Glenda for their service leading the altar guild and Backsnack. Margee and Glenda co-chaired the Altar guild for seven years and Margee chaired the Backsnack ministry for nine years. Thank you ladies, for your ministry.

Garden of Eatin’ – Ifyou are interested in planting one of the beds in our church garden or continuing with a plot you have planted before, let Meg know. We have room for 3 more raised beds at the back of the garden lot. If you would like to build a raised bed or contribute to having one built let Meg know. It runs about $200 to build one.

Display for Service Men & Women – Please send information to Sandra Haight, who is working on a display that would include a picture of the members of the armed forces that we pray for every week, their branch of service, where they are stationed, and how they are connected to St. Annes. (smhaight7) A printed picture is preferred, but if you only have a digital image with no way to print it, we can find a way to make that happen.

Garage Sale Fundraiser – May 19 – We are having a yard sale to raise $ to put toward the mortgage. You may drop items off this Friday, May 18 from 5-8. If you have a suggested sale price for an item, please mark it. If not, we’ll likely let the customers make us offers. Please no Baby Cribs, CRT-Computer Monitors, printers, Encyclopedias, Children’s Car Seats (Boosters Are OK), or old TV’s. Thanks!

Legos, Legos, Legos!!! – Next year we are going to use a new Sunday School Curriculum called Building Faith Brick by Brick. It uses Lego blocks as an extension to the week’s story. If you have any Lego blocks, mini figures, or Playmobile people that you would be willing to donate to our program please see Laura Zimmer.

St. Anne’s has gone live – As you have probably heard St. Anne’s is live streaming our Sunday services. If you miss church, you can watch us on YouTube at 10:00 . A link is provided on our website and our facebook page. As we are streamlining this process, if you get a chance to watch, share some feedback with Eric or Meg.

If you have something for the mid-week greetings or the Sunday announcement sheet, please email that to laura. Please send Mid-week notices by Wed. at 9:00 am and Sunday Announcements by Sunday at 8:00am.

Sunday SchoolTeachers for Sunday school are always needed and welcome. It is a fairly simply but crucially important ministry. There is no need to be a theological scholar. Teachers are scheduled a month at a time. Teachers are needed for 2 classes; grades 1-3 and grades 4-8. Grades 4-8 uses a curriculum published by the Episcopal church that follows the liturgy. It gives activities and guided discussion ideas. The younger class meets first with the PK-gr. 1 class to hear a story, then separates to their own classroom for discussion and activities. Materials and supplies are provided.

“Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” John 11:9-10
