The Mid-Week Greetings is a weekly newsletter detailing parish life at St. Anne’s parish, Lee’s Summit, MO. It is updated and published weekly.

PARISH LIFE

Food for Fellowship this Sunday – Please bring your favorite Easter treat to share for Coffee hour this Sunday.

Easter Sunday Celebration – Come early this Sunday so your kids can help us flower the cross at the altar and participate in the entrance procession by ringing bells. There will an egg hunt following the service.

Easter Candy – Thanks to everyone who donated candy and toys for our Easter egg hunt. Once again we will be able to provide St. Anne’s kids with a fine sugar high.

Seder dinner – Thank you to everyone who helped and participated in the Seder dinner. It was a great evening.

Matching grant for mortgage – an anonymous donor has committed to matching any contributions toward paying off the church mortgage, up to $10,000.

Chalice Bearers & Lay Readers – For anyone who might be considering serving as a Chalice Bearer or a Lay Reader, let me explain how it works! You can be either or all! You can read only the Lessons, or only the Prayers of the People. You can be a Chalice Bearer without being a Lay Reader. So if you are interested in serving but have questions, please let’s talk!! We’d love to have you!!

Garage Sale Fundraiser – We’re planning to have a yard sale to raise $ to put toward the mortgage. We’re in the early planning stages, but if you could set things aside that you’d like to donate while you’re spring cleaning we’ll be collecting things as the sale gets closer. Please don’t bring them to the church yet. We’ll let you know when we’re ready. If you have a suggested sale price for an item, please mark it. If not, we’ll likely let the customers make us offers. Please no old TVs. Thanks!
If you have something for the mid-week greetings or the Sunday announcement sheet, please email that to laura. Please send Mid-week notices by Wed. at 9:00 am and Sunday Announcements by Sunday at 8:00am.

Prayer Chain – Anyone can be a part of our prayer chain. Let us know if you want your email added to the loop. To make a prayer request or share a blessing email prayers.

Hospitality Folks are still needed to sign-up for the first and fifth Sunday of each month for food for coffee hours. If you can assist with this ministry, please sign-up on the sheet on the door of the utility closet.

Altar Guild – The Altar Guild is looking for new members.

Choir – The choir is looking for a few more voices. No auditions or age requirements!

Cleaning Crew – Additional people are needed to help clean the church. This requires about 2 ½ hours to do the entire church and parish hall and you are scheduled approximately 6 times during the year.

Sunday SchoolTeachers for Sunday school are always needed and welcome. It is a fairly simply but crucially important ministry. There is no need to be a theological scholar. Teachers are scheduled a month at a time. Teachers are needed for 2 classes; grades 1-3 and grades 4-8. Grades 4-8 uses a curriculum published by the Episcopal church that follows the liturgy. It gives activities and guided discussion ideas. The younger class meets first with the PK-gr. 1 class to hear a story, then separates to their own classroom for discussion and activities. Materials and supplies are provided.

**St. Anne’s decals are available for a $25.00 donation to the mortgage retirement fund.
