Teens helping Teens

In just over two weeks our Diocese will be conducting our Annual General Convention and celebrating our 125th anniversary in Springfield, MO.  As a parallel to this event our teens will be gathering for the Diocesan Youth Gathering (DYG).  Youth from all over the diocese will be coming together to help celebrate our 125th anniversary,  attend workshops and have fun.

As a part of this event, the youth be learning to see beyond themselves to the community around them.  The youth are collecting the following items from churches in the Diocese to create mission bags that will be distributed to homeless teens in the Springfield and Kansas City Areas.  They will be putting these bags together at the DYG event Nov. 7-9.  They are hoping to collect enough for 80 bags.  All items need to be brought to the church by Nov. 2.
