KC Hunger Run- October 12th

KC Hunger Run- October 12th

Sometimes we fail to do ministry or work to make a difference because we simply think it will be too hard, we are too tired, we just want some time to relax with our families, we want to spend what little “time off” we have enjoying the season and spending it with friends and loved ones. Sound a little familiar? I don’t write that to make anyone feel guilty. I understand too well that the precious, few Saturdays you have you want to enjoy. I write it to tell you that helping others is not always daunting, sometimes a walk in the park can change another person’s life. Don’t believe me? Come out to join us for the KC Hunger Run.

Run, walk, hop, or skip through beautiful Unity Village on a fall day AND raise money to assist hunger relief in our community. All proceeds of the KC Hunger Run go to benefit the Episcopal Community Services, an organization that seeks to relieve hunger on both sides of the state line. For more information on the amazing work the ECS provides check out their website http://www.episcopalcommunity.org/ and then go sign up to join us on October 12th for the KC Hunger Run at http://kchungerrun.org/.

The KC Hunger Run promises to be a fun, family-friendly event complete with lots of food, fun activities for kids, and music (did I mention the t-shirt is a high quality tech shirt???). If you sign up by this Friday your t-shirt will be waiting for you at the run. So grab your family and your friends and join us to change our community. The run begins at 8am so I’d recommend you get there around 7:30am. I hope to see you there!
