Saint Anne's is blessed with many young families with marvelous
children, and as you walk through our doors you will see our
beautifully windowed classrooms and the clear commitment we have
made to these families. We offer year around Sunday school during
the 10 o'clock service, and the children come in to join their
parents for communion. |

Many of our teachers are professional educators, and some no longer
have school age children, but this helps demonstrate Saint Anne's
commitment and excitement about our program. There is no lack of
energy when it concerns offering the best to our kids. We are lucky
to have a music teacher who works with the children each Sunday
before worship, and they bless us with their voices every 4 - 6
weeks during the service. We find occasions for all the children to
sing for the congregation a couple times a year. There is nursery
care that is run by a professional from a local children’s day care
center.

Our teachers
reviewed available curricula and voted on Cokesbury's series,
Exploring Faith. It is a four-year Bible study program that enables
children to experience God through Jesus Christ. The lessons are
stories/messages of the Bible and age appropriate to the children's
increasing maturity, and they provide opportunities for discussion
and ideas for activities. Each grade level class has its own memory
work goals: The Lord's Prayer, The Ten Commandments, The Beatitudes,
and The Apostle’s and The Nicene Creeds. They are proud of their
accomplishments. |

Our Sunday School year has many highlights:
celebrating the new school year with the Blessing of Backpacks in
August, the annual Fall Family Fun Festival, a Halloween
celebration, a Christmas pageant, a great Easter Egg Hunt, a
Mother's Day celebration, and Vacation Bible School. Our outreach
activities include Christmas and Valentine cards made by the
children that are taken to shut-ins, food collections for the Lee’s
Summit Social Services, and a Mitten/Cap Tree at Christmas.
