History

1990 The Reverend James F. Carlyle was commissioned by Bishop John C. Buchanan, to establish a new church in Lee's Summit, Missouri
1991 September First Service at Underwood School located at 1125 NE Colbern Road was held.  The Nursery & Sunday school were started at this time.  The first Small Group had already been formed.
   

1991 November Deacon Chari Mynatt assigned to Saint Anne's
1992 July The Diocese of W/MO purchased 4.59 acres of land at 1815 NE Independence Ave for St. Anne's.
1992 September Services & Office moved to a 3000 sq. ft. storefront location at 793 NE Rice Road.
   

1994 August Services & Office moved to 4520 sq.ft building located at 712 NW O'Brien Road. (The Car Wash)
   

1995 March A second Sunday morning Service was started due to growth.
1997 September Services moved to Meadow Lane School gymnasium and the Office moved to our present location.
   

1997 October Building fund was started reaching a total of $176,617.00.  Projected cost of the 5000 sq. ft. church was $500,000.00.
1998 June Construction of the church building was started
   

1999 April-Easter Construction completed - $226,000.00 over projected cost.  First service held in our new church building.
1999 November St. Anne's became a parish.
2000 The Reverend Eric Long came to St. Anne's, for on-the-job training.
2002 The Reverend Eric Long and a core group of 12 families from St. Anne's launched St. Mary Magdalene Mission Church.  This departure temporarily reduced the size of St. Anne's.
2004 Choir, Bell Choir, and Children's Choir began
2006 March James F. Carlyle, the founding priest, accepted a call from St. Paul's Church in Columbus, Mississippi
