Facility & Service VolunteersALTAR GUILD The Altar Guild is a special ministry to the church. Altar Guild members have special responsibilities for the care of the utensils of the altar. The duties include cleaning linens, polishing brass, preparing the elements for consecration, the altar candles, and replenishing the baptismal fount. It is a dedicated, rewarding and invaluable ministry to the church. If you would like to become a member of one of the rotating teams of the Altar Guild, or call the church office at (816) 524‑5552.LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS Lay Eucharistic Ministers provide a significant ministry to the church. They dispense the wine. Because of the special nature of this ministry, special training is required; the Diocese of West Missouri licenses Lay Eucharistic Ministers. If you would like to pursue this wonderful ministry, please speak with Deacon Chari Mynatt. LAY READERS Lay Readers provide the vital ministry of bringing the words of Holy Scripture to the worshiping congregation. Lay Readers read the scripture lessons except for the Gospel. This also is a ministry that is licensed by the Diocese of West Missouri. It is one that requires special training. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please speak with Deacon Chari Mynatt.LAY EUCHARISTIC VISITORS Lay Eucharistic Visitors provide the invaluable ministry of taking communion to those in our worshiping community who, for reasons of health or otherwise, are unable to be communed at the regular service at Saint Anne's.. Lay Eucharistic Visitors help to facilitate this by taking bread and wine that is consecrated in our regular Sunday services and distributing them to shut‑ins. This is a tremendously rewarding ministry that reaps many blessings. It requires licensing by the Diocese of West Missouri and special training. If you would like to become a Lay Eucharistic Visitor, please speak with Deacon Chari Mynatt, or call the church office at (816) 524‑5552. USHERS Ushers provide an invaluable ministry in the service of the church. They distribute service leaflets, take the offering and direct the flow of people to communion. If you are interested in ushering, please call the church office at (816) 524‑5552.CARD MAILING St. Anne's mails anniversary and birthday cards to members of the congregation.
