About Us

Our History

Saint Anne’s began in 1991 as a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri. From 1991-1998 we worshipped in school gyms and commercial spaces here in Lee’s Summit. On Easter Sunday, 1999,  we moved into our current  facility on the Southeast corner of Colbern Road and Independence Avenue.

 Our Mission

We long to know and to share the love, joy, and peace of friendship with God in Jesus Christ.

St. Anne’s exists in order to fulfill the Great Commission:

The … disciples went … to … where Jesus appointed them, and having seen him, they worshipped him, but some wavered. And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, All authority in heaven and on earth was given to me; having gone forth, then, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all, whatever I commanded you, and behold, I am with you always—till the full end of the age. Matthew 28:16-20

 And the Great Commandment:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your understanding. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 22:37-40

 Our Commitment

We are committed to disciple people as we journey together.  Our foundation is encouraging one another to grow in the theological virtues of faith, hope, and love.

 Our Values

Faith. We are a congregation of committed believers.  We are individually committed to God, our church and each other.  We have sincere interest in furthering our faith through personal growth and spiritual development.

Hope. We are a congregation that values non-judgmental, Biblically-based teaching and places our hope in God and His Word.   We hope and plan for the future, in part, by investing time in our youth.

Love. We value a loving, caring environment that nurtures both strong relationships with God and one another.  We are an extended loving family and we extend God’s love into the community.
