PARISH LIFE

St. Michael’s Pantry –, St. Michaels Pantry can use canned fruit and canned soup which they often do not have in stock. Any donations can be placed in the baskets in the Narthex. Also, if you have a stash of plastic grocery bags that need to be recycled, St. Michaels can also use those. As always, any donations of food, toiletries or lightly use clothing will be appreciated.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – Tuesday, February 13 from 5-7pm – Mark your calendars. This year there will be a gluten free option. Please sign-up in the narthex and indicate if you would like the gluten free option. This will allow planners to ensure there is plenty of food for everyone.

Sunday, February 11 – Please join us for our 3rd Taste of Lee’s Summit Fellowship Luncheon at Habaneros Mexican Restaurant located at 1009 SE Blue Parkway, Lees Summit, MO 64063. Habaneros will block off an area for us and they are extending their happy hour drink menu for us all day. We hope this event gives everyone an opportunity to mingle with those who sit on the OTHER side of the church!

Chalice Bearers & Lay Readers – we are need or a couple of more people who would be willing to serve as Chalice bearers and/or Lay Readers. Please let us know if you are interested.

Sunday SchoolTeachers for Sunday school are always needed and welcome. It is a fairly simply but crucially important ministry. There is no need to be a theological scholar. Teachers are scheduled a month at a time. Teachers are needed for 2 classes; grades 1-3 and grades 4-8. Grades 4-8 uses a curriculum published by the Episcopal church that follows the liturgy. It gives activities and guided discussion ideas. The younger class meets first with the PK-gr. 1 class to hear a story, then separates to their own classroom for discussion and activities. Materials and supplies are provided.

**St. Anne’s decals are available for a $25.00 donation to the mortgage retirement fund.

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom is favor rests.
